April 9 MLB Betting Tips

Not the best start to our season, but we don’t see any tweaks to be made in our system thus far. We’ll probably be staying away from totals for the most part as things start to work themselves out. There are a few offenses better or worse than we predicted and we expect that all to work itself out. On to the picks.

October 15 MLB Playoffs Betting Tips
Last: 1-0
Playoffs: 3-2
YTD: 327-254
An interesting first round for both of these teams. Some people didn’t think the Dodgers had a chance against the Cardinals and I personally found each game to be really hard to pick. In the end a little talent and a little luck led to their sweep of the top seeded Cardinals. The Phillies on the other hand showed why they are the defending champions with their game 4 comeback (to the Rockies comeback).
This should be a good series that I expect to go at least six games, but in Game 1 it’s all about the Dodgers. They are better rested, have the better bullpen and Hamels didn’t look as unbeatable as he did last season in his previous start. Hamels gave up 7 hits and 4 runs in just 5 innings of work before leaving to tend to his wife who went into labor. (Anyone with kids should know that a newborn definitely expects your sleeping pattern. I don’t expect Cole at 100%.) That being said there is still Randy Wolf Clayton Kershaw on the other side of the field so we definitely see this game going over. As for the winner, coupled with more rest and the homefield advantage we see the Dodgers taking this game and the series.

The playoffs are here!
Even if this is technically the regular season this is straight playoff baseball and we are going out on a limb and choosing the Twins to be the first time EVER to come back from a three game deficit with 5 games remaining. The Twins have been one of the hottest teams in baseball over these last few months and the Tigers are surrounded in controversy right now. The Baker/Porcello matchup slighltly favors the Twins, but I think the home field advantage will be what decides this game. Either way, it should be great and playoff baseball is here.
